When we decided to launch CHEFPAGES in the fall of 2010, we wanted to find a cause that not only got us excited, but created awareness both within our community as well as throughout the entire industry. Introducing
mycharity: water. Their vision is simple and ambitious: clean, safe drinking water for everyone on the planet.
More often than not, chefs tend to overlook the significance of water consumption within their kitchens. It is not that they take it for granted, it is simply that the idea of not having access to running water simply never crosses their minds. At some point the art and science of refined food preparation should not lose site of its building blocks.
